The earliest depiction I had in mind was the Ares carving. Should point out that I should not be wearing trousers and leg wraps together.... Smile
I'm happy to say that I've made a huge amount of progress with this over the past two years (whilst other things have gotten in the way). The only thing remaining from that original test photo is the helmet! Everything else has changed ....
Cool! The Notitia records that this unit was still in Britain when it was written.
There will even be a book to accompany the impression :0, that's still a few months away from completion though....
