It is a Co-production between Stefan Jaroschinski (Noricum Replikate) and me.
I fabricated the enamelled adornments and the rivets.
He made all the leftover Wink
It took a lot of time to finish the shield, I think we started to work three years ago.

Enjoy!

It was well worth the time invested. It is an object of absolute beauty
Thanks a lot...

Does anyone know, how I can put the Photos in for direct viewing? I tried to, but it failed :?

Added: I just tested it with one of your images. I think the problem is you don't have .jpg at the end of your image link. Don't know how to get around that, sorry. You might want to host them at somewhere like www.photobucket.com which is free.

Beautiful shield, by the way. Stunning!
Sindri,

That is quite exquisite. I gather it shall not be utilized for 'full contact' sword exercises, wooden or otherwise.

Very well done and as stated before, finished results are well worth the time invested.

Best regards,
Amazing work! :!:
What kind of metal is that? How thick? What's the weight?
What's next after that?
Yes, very nicely done indeed!
Nice work!
I do not think this is for battle just showing supremacies against the foe, to dazzle him…

the enamelled parts are casted in Bronze with a tin contingent under 10%. The other parts of the shield are either tambak oder tinbronze. But I have to ask Stefan for an accurate Information.

The shield shall be only used for ritualistic or ornamental Custom and was places in the Thames for votive offerings...
That is a tremendous piece of work indeed.
