Hi,

I’m interested in Roman or Greek re- enactment but I’m looking for a group in the London area and I can’t see one – do any exist ? My main interest would be in civilain reanactment rather than purely a military one as I'm interested in cooking, woodwork and most crafts

Also I was looking at some groups such as the Roman Military society which state that they have members all over the UK – how does that work ? Do you only meet up on certain occasions a year or are there local groups who meet up regularly to train and practice skills

I'd be gratful if someone could help me as I'd like to join a group

Most groups with members from all over UK meet regularly at events all over the UK (and Europe). Just look at the event calendar of those groups.
[url:k8dou014]http://www.romanarmy.net/events.htm[/url] for the RMRS. So last weekend they were at Kelmarsh hall (which was a very nice gig) and next weekend they will be at Glemham Hall, Suffolk. I think they also have some members from the London area and they have a nice civilian section.
Leg II augusta also has a nice civilian section.
