Does anybody have access to "Die Schwertriemenbügel aus dem Vimose" by Claus Von Carnap-Bornheim?
It's a study of scabbard slides, published in 'Kleine Schriften aus dem Vorgeschichtlichen Seminar der Philipps-Universitat Marburg 38'?
Any help in tracking this down would be much appreciated.
Cheers
I've just ordered it
here
€ 15,00 is not that much...
Perhaps I can help you when I finally got it.
I found the same link Andreas but have written to Prof Carnap-Bornheim to see if I can blag one first.
Perhaps the better way.
I've so far no answer to my mail...
Please tell me when you have success (like I will do).
I take it it's a German text - damn, would probably have been useful for me too if I were able to understand it
Thank you Siggi, I know these papers, especially the work about the Balteusschließen is most usefull.
In the case of the scabbard-sliders the typology of Carnap-Bornheim is still used so it might be good to have his paper.
But the order worked and they will send it to me - when they have the money.
Claus von Carnap-Bornheim is a very nice man. He's sending me a copy for free.

Nadeem, you might find Trousdale's "The Long Sword and Scabbard Slide in Asia" more pertinent to your studies?
