hello

Few days ago I finished my new mask made by oryginal from Kalkriese. This one is smaller than first one (15x17 cm) and it's ready to use with the helmet - I made the hinge ...it's my version of the hinge ,the soloution similar to others exemples form many masks ...however as independent element rivated to the mask - not continuation of the mask's part.
In my opinion some holes over eye-bows are used for attaching somthing other than hinge construction (maybe some decorate) ... so I dont made it in my reconstruction.
For customer's wish I made steel rands not brass.
Off course some little details I changed by my way (this is MY Kalkriese mask Big Grin D

I hope it's better than my first one Kalkriese mask ...and I'm interested on waht's Your's opinion about it ?

More pictures are able to find in my Photofile gallery .
wow, that is really very nice. You even caught the sad expression of the original. Laudes for you.

ABSOLUTLY

MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ONE THOUSAND OF COMPLIMENT!! BARDZO DOBRA PRACA (SORRY FOR MY POLISH)
Ave,

As they say in the Balkans Naj Dobro, " The Best" !! That is some fine work. Did you make that for yourself or will they be commercially available?

Regards from the Balkans, Arminius Primus, aka Al
Most impressive Patryk- that is the absolute best reconstruction of that mask I've yet seen, and while both are quite excellent, I do think you captured the original even more closely with your latest version. I've long thought about trying one of these but shaping like that in iron seems rather more difficult than in copper alloys, so I'm doubly impressed knowing the work that goes into it
I agree 100% truely a MASTERPIECE!!!!! Pure artwork! It should be in a museum!

SUPERB Confusedhock:
Beautiful. 10/10!
Well, I can heartily recommend Patryk`s work Big Grin !

Here are the reasons why:

1) His skills are superb. I know there are plenty of skilfull artisans around here but he has exceptional eye for details
2) His way with the customers; he will answer your e-mails & inquiries in time, understands what you mean right away.
3) He will keep you updated during the process of making the actual artifact; he sends plenty of info & photos of the object during the process of making it.
4) His prices are reasonable.

I have had so many bad experiences with custom gear that I think I know what I am talking about.

Ps. what is it with these polish artists, the best gear I have received are made by them. Oh yes, one great piece was made in germany (my new Draco) but for some reason the maker`s last name was Jaroschinski  ...
THANX A LOT GUYS Big Grin !!!

and special thanx for Virilis - for great lythuania of the complements under my adress Big Grin D

I'm really fresh in the subject of roman masks and helmets ...but in my opinion roman helmets are more interesting stuff for reconstruction than for exemple some kinds of late medieval westen helmets ( easten helmets are all fantastic  )
That rules!!! wow... I really, really like!
Nice stuff Patryk!
THANX Big Grin
Just got my Kalkriese mask no. 2 Big Grin !

It looks even better in real life (like the bigger first version). I will probably sleep the next week with the mask on  ...
