I am on AOHell....there's a warning shot!!!!! fer starters
If your picture is located somewhere that it will stay, you can click on the [img] button, put in the complete filename, like say, c:\\desktop\\picture1.jpg then click the Img button again, and it should present itself. If your picture is on a storage site like photobucket or something like it, they usually give you the option of that, by various means, depending on the program.

For example, this picture is on photobucket (you can establish a free account with several useful features, or a paid account with more features). I opened the mailbox, so to speak, then mousing over the picture selected gives a list of options. I chose the "img" option from that page, copied it and pasted it here:

A good take on a particularly thorny subject Dave!
Thanks, Dave, let me try one:

Well, that did not work trying to pull on from my hard drive.

Hmm...
You cannot upload from your harddrive. You need to host the pic somewhere like Imagesahack or photobucket, or on your own site.

You can also use the board´s upload function. Under your text box when posting is a button "add attachment". There you can upload pics directly from your PC.
have had a go got, a load of gobbldee gook like calvus. I have Kodak Easy share cant seem to move stuff out of it. Best thing I can do is get someones email and email is so they can post it on here
Well, no, that doesn't work. I guess I should have been more testy about it before posting those instructions. Anyway, even if you could stick a photo from your hard drive, if you move it or delete it, or rename it, it would not display. Anyhow, I was wrong, and shouldn't have posted that in that way. Don't kill me, I might be of some small use yet--

But photobucket is a pretty good sharing site, and while I don't have a Kodak page, I'd suspect there's a way to do that same thing from there. There are other free photo sites, and that's what they are for, that and selling you paid-for space, and letting you have the opportunity to see a bunch more advertisment banners. Hey, somebody has to look at them, right?
Photobucket is best way to do it, if a little tedious to start with.
OK, thanks, fellas. I understand now. Big Grin

OK, one more try.

Hey, looked like it works. Thanks very much for this, all of you. Been trying to learn this secret for years. Big Grin

By the way, forgot to give the caution.

*Do not try to kick prickly pear pads when wearing caligae*
If you forget that caution, you will remember the error for a long time. A long time. If you'd like to collect some for experimentation, please come take all you want from my property. I have probably six tons of it, and I'm more than willing to share.

Thanks but no thanks! Smile
As you say it is something you never forget. I stepped on one when I was a bout 5. Took my dad to get it out, with about three people holding be down....not something you forget in a hurry! Confusedhock:
I'd like to emphasize Christian's suggestion again: it is not necessary to set up an account with photobucket, flickr or any other hosting site. The upload function ('Add attachment') allows you to upload images right from your own hard drive to your posting on RAT.
But can you load an image woth out the boarder framing it?
