Salvete Omnes!

As some of you may know a bunch of Irish re-enactors have pulled together to publish a free electronic magazine. The magazine is called Historical Times and features articles from re-enactors and historians - ok, enough of the advertising.

For the first issue I'm writing a small article on Roman artillery but I have a small problem, I need some pictures and drawings. Now there's no shortage of these on the web, trouble is I need to get permission to use them from the copyright holders, which is not always easy.

If you have any pictures etc. which you would allow me to use I'd be very greteful - You'll be fully credited of course. I need pictures of a 3 span Ballista and Cheiroballistra, bigger machines would be a welcome bonus
Something like our Len Morgan iron framed ballista? I have a variety of shots...
Hi Steve

Yep, just what I'm looking for, in particular of the springs and washers, the trigger and slider. Appreciate the help.

Cheers

Martin
Ahhhh, the secret clique spills over into Roman re-enacting......

Look forward to seeing the magazine Nerva. Or is it only viewable with a secret password?
GJC, all the Truly Faithful have the password. Uh, you didn't get the memo? :?

I didn't get it, either.
OK, I've sent a couple of pics for starters to your email address - let me know if that works or not.
