I am going to attempt to make my own phalerae, but I was wondering if any of you out there that have seen the real ones can comment as to their proper size? Meaning diameter across.

Thanks,

Phillip
Phillip,

From the information I was given on the Lauresfort, I think they measured 10-11cm in diameter.

Hope this helps
Just some measurements:

Nijmegen-'Heuvellust' phalerae: 9.8 cm

Eagle phalerae (findplace unknown): 6.2 cm

Windisch, Kanton Aargua
Glassphalerae with Emperor Tiberius: 6.9 cm

Rheingönheim
Glassphalerae with Emperor Claudius with Kids, woman and Britannicus: 6.8 cm

Probably I can find more measurements, but this were just the ones I got from the first 2 books I looked up.
That's cool...some were fairly small then.
