Ok...the red and black stripe theme is a reenactorism, and the greek decoration on the box could be argued for or against...either way it's rather catchy for a centurion. I'm still working on the crest mount itself...once I get that done I'll post pics of it on my Gallic F.
It's hand painted using oil-based flat paints. I planned out the checker pattern on the computer using adobe illustrator. One piece of advice, don't start painting until you've eaten breakfast...otherwise your hands shake lol.
