I have a bunch of linen sitting around and my kid's asked for me to make them Roman clothing. I thought I remembered that children would have just worn a unisex tunica down to the lower calf or ankle. Is this right for 1st Century A.D.? I also recall that the boys wore some sort of protective amulet until they were of adult age. Was it a specific look to the amulet or was there variety? I am talking children in age from 3 to 10 years old.
The amulet is called 'bulla'.

You can find information and pictures by googling 'Roman bulla':
