I almost cried when I saw this picture. It is absolutely gut wrenching. It shows the importance of being properly strapped in.

A friend sent this photo of a horrible highway accident in Germany. The picture may be kind of hard to take for some of you. If you look closely you can see what appear to be some survivors of the accident still in the wreckage. Although the picture is quite graphic, it makes you realize how quickly our loved ones can be taken from us.

My friend stayed on the scene to help and even though he performed mouth to mouth on quite a few of them, none apparently survived.

Here's the photo (be warned, it's gruesome): http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i311/ ... T00004.jpg
That is so, so tragic Cry
Oh my God.
Jeeeeesus. That's terrible. What an awful waste.
I only wish I could have been there to help, maybe I could have done something.

Mike. If only we could all be as heroic as you x

omg when I saw that I was so shocked...I was about to cry

but luckily all my loved ones are here with me right now and I could give them all a hug. It's those incidents that make you realize how much you really love them. Guess I'll go and take good care of them right now.
Tragic Sad . I'm not usually a rubber-necker but I just had to look, now I feel the need to spend some time with some of the victims family members.
This is truly a loss. It makes me appreciate the victims' relatives who are here with me now. I'll never take them for granted again, and will cherish them all for their merits and strengths, that when they're gone, I will truly know what I've lost. In fact, I think I'll go spend time with them while I still can
Oh my god. Confusedhock: I'm gutted - from seeing their remains, they look like fellow-countrymen of me.
What happened?? Seems like a straight road to me.
These pictures remind me what it must be like in a war; like living in a middle of a continuous traffic accident where everybody is trying to make scenes like this to happen. That`s why I think that movies like "Saving Private Ryan" should be banned; in the end you get a feeling like it would be somehow "cool" to participate in it, no matter how "realistic" they pretend to be...
Even as a police officer I found that terribly disturbing. Jim, I hope your friend didn't suffer any ill effects, such as vomiting the next day, coupled with a headache and general weariness.
Aaah, very, very bad!
This kind of images make me wonder why don't we use plastic instead of glass... that might help to save a few of the victims.

And Tarbicus, I hope your friend wasn't driving after he had seen such a disturbing event.... Confusedhock: good that he helped to save some of those innocent victims!

Plastic's toxic after a long period

Nice to see the concern from everyone. I'll pass your feelings on.
