one of the many cases of Roman bending of the truth in storytelling

Romans NEVER did anything like that! We always wrote the truth! and since there is only one truth, namely Roman truth... you are very very mistaken!!!

Very funny. Big Grin D

You do know that you're taking their side over your ancestors. I wouldn't mention that in the pub if I were you.
Sorry for you...... my ancestors were Roman......

Genetically as well as Historically...

...just out of curiosity, how do you know this, Henk? Ancestor hunting is usually a bit difficult beyond a few hundred years.....but there are such things as mytochondrial DNA testing that is not so expensive, and advertised on the Net.
Even then though, that is but one thread among many, considering you have 4 grandparents, 8 Great-grandparents...and so on..... reckoning on 25 years aprox per generation gives 80 generations in the last 2,000 years or so, so 2 to the power 80 ancestors in theory, though many will overlap.....(1.20892583x10 to the power 24 = billions, in theory, but lots anyway!......... Which one(s) was Roman?) Smile wink:
The one that got his Great x 10,000 grandmother while his supposed great x 10,000 grand father was busy worrying sheep!! Tongue P P lol:
IN WALES!!!!!

of course i do not know 100 % buts its nice to think so anyway! LOL

and being quite small in length, dark haired, mediterranean in appearance, ah well.....

anyway most of you know i love Rome and their society immensely........

The question remains... How can we or anyonme for that patter find out what genetical lineage we have... ?

since in my views only in very remote and secluded areas geneticists have found proof of a continuation more than a few thousand years old...

I'm sure I read that the "ginger" gene can be traced back to certain areas/periods but can't remember which :? When I'm not busy dying my hair an assortment of colours it is naturally a bit reddish.

All I know is that I'm a complete mongrel Big Grin
Brilliant!! I myself am quite a nutter......... LOL
