Are there any good sites out there for Gladiator short patterns?
Any suggestions?
Are you referring to the subligaculum or to the close-fitting "shorts" that are sometimes depicted as worn beneath the subligaculum?
I'm thinking of the subligaculum.
Jeff:

The subligaculum I use consists of an hour-glass shape with an attached semicircular extension along one edge. The hour-glass part fits about the loins quite securely with ties at the corners, while the extension falls over the front. If you have any photos of me from Mobile, (I was the hoplomachus/retiarius) it might give you an idea of what I'm talking about. If not, look at the shot of me fighting Marty on the 'show your gladiator impression' line.

Check out this thread, there we have discussed subligacula patterns already in detail:

BTW I favor for my subligaculum the pattern by Dan and Susanna Shadrake.
