403 - Forbidden say both of those links, Robert
My guesses for the following are :
1.
Quote:EVEN BETTER
....the first Turkish Roman Reenactment group ???
The left figure (Hoplite ?) is even more remarkable if one puts into consideration the
political relations Greece and Turkey had up to most recently.
(Let there be peace...)
...or is it rather the Iranian Remake of 300 ??
2.
Quote:Roman in a HUMVEE
......this definitely should make it into A.Schwortzeneggers next film to come: "Last Reenactment Hero"
"I'll Be Back" (Or, like InterTran translates this: "I'll exsisto tergum" lol !!!!
----- Join the real "Spassgesellschaft", have your essays translated by Intertran !!!!)
....or is it rather "Battleship Swastika" or so........
3. Shouldn't this all qualify for a new Thread:
"Dirty Secrets Of Reenacting"
4. ...or, like Erich von Däniken would probably put it:
"The Romans got their first cell-phones from Extraterrestrian about 300 B.C. -- I've proven that !!"
5.
Quote:More ancient Romans...
This is definitely the Highlight from Galliano's "Pret-A-Porter-Show", i'n'it ?
6.
Quote:Romans fighting ....
Fighting smokers ?! Recent Italian laws on non-smoking in Restaurant seem to be in the "Best Roman Tradition" ?!
7.
Quote:Roman and the law.....
Arrested on charge of recklessly speeding in a chariot ?? ( I fought the law and the Law won ... da da daa I fought the Law and the Law --- won !)
YES, BETTER NOW !!!!!

8. Dear M. Demetrius, I think Robert's little fotostory clearly qualifies a bit more for A+ than 403, don't you agree ?!

Yes sir! There ARE some really beautiful pictures in that collection, too! (I have not looked at all 2000 of them, honest.) And some very very strange people. I'm glad to find out that there are that sort somewhere else. I was beginning to think they all lived right over here. Whew!
Naaah. Just go to one of the large medieval fares in Germany, and you get a share for the rest of your life. Smile

More ancient Romans...

Romans fighting....

Roman and the Law...
This should be forbidden!
Romans fighting? In the first place, they aren't fighting. In the second, it's well-known that Romans never smoked filtered cigarettes. That was for sissies like Greeks and Persians. Only unfiltered Camels for the Romans. Also, the use of Velcro on sandals died out during the early Republic. These people need to do a little research.
