From this section on Trajan's column it seems like cornicens carried parmas, but I don't see parmas anywhere else on Trajan's column. Does anyone know of a picture from elsewhere on the column, or anywhere else that shows a cornicen carrying a parma?

Various other standard bearers can be seen carrying this shield. Have you been able to see all the scenes of the column? There have been a number of posts here talking about the best books to check out.

P.S. What's the latin plural of "parma," anyway? "Parmae"?
If parma is the regular nominative singluar feminine, then parmae should be the plural.
