I got my copy the other day, and paged through it. On page 150, there's a nice photograph of an Augustan-era scabbard, with the tang of a sword sticking out. The next pair of pages shows a 5600 year old fishing harpoon and a 13th or 12th century BCE bronze sword. The page after shows a bunch of celtic silver coins, a 12th or 11th century BCE ax, and a Roman belt plate dated between 27 BCE and 14 CE. The facing page shows a collection of fasteners, some Roman. The final two pages of the article feature a 16th century ceramic, a 13th or 14th century iron spear point, and an early 17th century wheel-lock pistol. Good stuff.
