Hi,
Thank you for all the compliments guys I really appreciate them
My tunic was made by one of our group member's sister (she made my subarmalis with the pteryges and my trousers as well). The base is wool, the decoration is sewn on separately. The white patterns on the clavii and the tabulae are embroidered.
Robert,
your are right, our shield pattern is the one of the seniores (I corrected my signiture too  ).
Damien,
Our group's name is Legio Brigetio (hence our HQ resides in Komárom/Brigetio) and we try to represent two eras:
Legio I Adiutrix for early-mid second sentury AD
Pannoniciani Seniores for late 3rd - early 4th century AD
The late roman stuff is quite new to us, we started doing it last year.
You can find some pictures in the picture gallery:

our late roman photos are in the 2008 Savaria folder (unfortunately our 2009 pictures are not online yet).
Theo,
As I wrote earlier my tunic and subarmalis are not my work so I don't know exactly what method was used for the edging, but if you're interested I can ask the lady who made it. 8)
I made my armour myself. It's made of 0,5 mm thick copper alloy scales (980 pieces) with a dimension of 15*45 mm (sorry for giving metric measurements but I'm not very good at converting to inches mrgreen:
And no, it's not uncomfortable. It's rigid like a one-piece breastplate, but otherwise it's not cumbersome at all. For me it's much more comfortable than a hamata or segmentata.
