Quote:Yes; Armatura, Latin word to military equipment. Levis armatura to the light infantry men an gavis armatura or armati to talk about the heavy infantry men.
My question is have you an heavy military equipment? Mail, squamata ect...
See you!
Ah I see. I have my chain mail shirt, belt, sword, shield, helmet. You can kind of see this in my Avatar. I have started on my new belt as the one I have has cast parts that I don't like. I will probably buy new fittings for this one as well.

Very Nice impresions.
But tell your wife that mount with a Buch helmet could be dangerous. There is a risk of broke the neck in an accident, because the impact of the neckguard.
An easy solution can be to wear the helmet without close it, so in case of impact the neckguard don't impact thight against the neck.

Thanks Cesar, but she knows that fact! She wears the helmet only during i explain her equipment and her horse walk. Before starting the "attacks" against the dummy, she takes off helmet and shield to avoid unecessary accidents.

Wow, she looks great! You all do. I LOVE her shield, did she paint it herself? It's nice to see women reenactors playing the role of soldiers.
How fun that your whole family enjoys reenacting together.

Thank you
One of my friends paint the shield for here. The emblem is a mix from some of the elaborate painted Dura-Europos Shields.

The Nydam spatha was done by Franck Mathieu from Archeoart (he is doing celt equipment in France) from the museum model

Is your Berkasovo style helmet (looks great too!) made perhaps by Thorkil?
