Snow in ancient Rome
#1
Salvete Omnes

Right now Rome is being blanketed by snow, 50 cm in some places, and the city is almost in a state of chaos.
I was curious - I know the climate has changed substantially in Europe over the last two millennia, but are there any ancient records of snowfall in Rome? Thanks in advance.

While right now I can't think of any, I am sure there are stories from ancient Greece of snow so there must have been fluctuations which brought snow to Rome then as now.
I believe Caesars period was a mini iceage/cold period, so to speak.
