Lost Greeks of Malana?

The jury is still out on whether they are in fact Greeks. I've seen some recent DNA work that would seem to exclude Macedonian soldiers, but the two most common haplotypes are also very common on Crete, so perhaps mercenaries are the source. The culture, if not directly descended, does show analogy to ancient greeks.

It would bestrange if they had left no trace in the area. Mind you, I need to watch the video on a better link.
