That looks great Dave! Good job! Perhaps one day when we get all of our kit together, Secunda Britannica could come out there to Louisiana to help Seguntienses for an event or something. What do you think?
Lucius Aurelius Metellus, miles gregarius, Secunda Brittanica

Ave Lvcivs,

Sounds good to me. I plan on invading the Louisiana ren-faire and try and get some recruits. I'm hoping to double the numbers of the Seguntienses.

I do have lorica hamata and my shield needs the handle and umbo attached, if i can find the right fasteners.

I'm still waiting on RLQM to send me my helmets. I also have a 6 foot spear, I guess it would be a spicullum? Once I am able make some boots I can retire my multi-period calcea to Celt only.
Hi Dave,

What are the helmets you're getting from RLQM?
They are "supposed" to be making me Late Roman helmets. They got my payment Feb 14 2004. Still no sign of them.
you must host your picture on a site such as photobucket or else. Then, insert the link to the picture.
-------------------------------------------------------
Hey John!
That looks very nice! Did you get to go to the big Roman "shindig" in Nashville?
Lucius Aurelius Metellus, miles gregarius, Secunda Brittanica

No, I didn't. I saw that it was coming, but had a crisis or two to deal with in my other life. I would like to see more mid-America coordination though. Too much of the action goes on on the coasts.
We solved that problem in our group.
We have Red AND White tunics.

Get to an event, faire, film shoot, find the coordinator and put on the appropriate tunic.

We'll let the experts fight out the merits of these arguments.
