this really depends, where i live (NL), its almost impossible to find historical miniatures in a normal store (except Verlinden). I mailorder them through a german store (Berliner Zinnfiguren) which also has a normal store. (in Berlin).
The reason why you probably ask is that you want to see some of these mini's for real, before buying? I have the same thing but as this is virtually impossible for me, i bought a single mini before buying more.

A relatively new Company called Caesar from China has Romans and ancient Germans coming next years. They have some of the finest 1/72 figures around, on par with Zvezda. They have a superb line of Bilbical armies of the Middle East, and it continues to expand.

Ave Jeroen,
on tabletokontor.de I found a new manufacturer of 28mm Early Imperial Romans: IMAGO MILITIS.
The manufacturer seems to have no own homepage yet.
Some pics (It's impossible to link to special shop pages there...)
Legionaries with segmentata

Legionaries with mail (without doublings...)

There are also Auxiliaries and Praetorians, but no pics available.

Salvete,
Maybe someone can help me find suppliers, which sell model kits of Roman ships. Preferably wood, but plastic would be fine also.
Thanks

Zvezda makes 2 Roman warships, a Greek ship and a Carthaginian ship, all in about 1/72nd scale plastic.
You may be able to get them online.

Thanks Caius,
I didn't find the "english"-button on the site at first, and as my Russian has somewhat disintegrated ;-) ) ... unfortunately they don't have any picture of the assembled kits (AFAIK, except the painted ones)

Thanks Uwe,
the pictures there are definitely more telling than the one on Zvezda's site.

Hello,
on the Gallo-Roman Weekend in october we'll have a small exhibition on Belgian life under Roman rule, with some models. We have a Celtic farm, a Roman villa and a fanum. We would like to put some celtic and roman civialians in these models, but these seem hard to find. Most sites on the first post only have military people.
Any suggestions on where to find civialians? They should be about 3 cm.
Thanks in advance!

Wargames Factory will be producing Caesarian Roman multi-pose figures in 28mm, in the New Year. EIR's to follow in 2008. This is probably the first time anyone has attempted this in plastic and i for one can't wait.

HAT also does some nice late romans:
8085 Gothic Cavalry
8086 Late Roman Cataphracts
8087 Late Roman Heavy Infantry
8100 Late Roman Medium Infantry
8137 Late Roman Missile Troops
8183 Late Roman Mounted Archers*
8188 Late Roman Light Cavalry*
8197 Late Roman Medium Cavalry*
* still working on them .
Would be great to label them by historical period, apart from scale. It would help a lot while searching late romans (my case...)
