Salve Grenadierus, yes they do look sort of Roman, but then, there were so many different types of sandals out there. The toe thong is what I wonder about. The rest would be appropriate enough, even the tooling, which many Roman shoes had. I'd have to revisit my books on shoes, but I'll post some links. <p></p><i></i>

Minus the toe ring (which I have doubts about), they look very similar to sandals found at the Saalburg and also in Judea.
