I am planning to lead a small group walking along the Limeswanderweg between the Rhein and the Saalburg (Strecke 1/1-3/66) during 2014 and would like to know if any re-enactment groups might be interested in providing (for a fee, of course) a couple of members in kit to impress and intimidate my group at appropriate locations. DM me if you are interested (with an email address) and I will get back to you with more details of how to contact my tour manager , Simon. Our current plan is to come out and do a reconnaissance walk in May 2013, so that would be a good time to meet up if necessary. Simon speaks fluent German (my conversational German is, at best, abysmal).

Hmmm, 77 views and no takers? Looks like we might have to import some British re-enactment talent, then! ;-)

Not so much on the talent side, but I would happily do it! 8-)

Mike, I think we could / would do this, but we do augustan, and we are a bit far away... But then we have our cool firefighters car, which can take nine of us and all our gear...

Now I'm thinking something along these lines. Or, if Tom Fischer had anything to do with it, more like this ;-)
Either would beat the ESG's Ermin Way van!
Seriously, though, really looking for 2nd/3rd century (for obvious reasons), perhaps a few Germanic warriors, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.

I will pass this on by e-mail to two legionary groups I'm friends with and will send you an e-mail. They both are not registered here on RAT but on Facebook.

I bet that shifts the BMWs and Audis out of your way... especially when they notice it's full of Romans!

They won't be settled until September but my guess is not July/August 2014 (as that coincides with UK schoolkids' holidays). I'll be over this year the week before 19th May, I think.
