Hi all,
Roman Days is fast approaching and I'm trying to get an idea of who all is coming this year.
If unit commanders could let me know how many from their units are coming, I'd really appreciate it.
So far I've got:
Legio XX
Legio XIIII (sorry, I haven't updated the web page yet. *sheepishlook*)
Legio III
Legio XXIV
Anyone else? Any independants?
Thanks a bunch!!

Better get a count of tents being brought, too. Gallio's not on the board, but safe to assume his big tent will be there (Leg. XXIV).
Have to shoot a note off to the Greek group up north, see if we can get a couple hoplites.
For an estimate of numbers, it's easiest just to do a headcount on Saturday!

You take all the fun out of planning.
Gallio posted on the RD list that he's coming and bringing his tent. Which reminds me, is that the same tent that the Nova Roma guy uses - the one with the little canoptic jars on his desk?

Yes, the tent Gallio "brings" actually belongs to Brian Mackey, who is Legion XXIV's medicus and who also expects to be at Roman Days.

The Hillbilly contingent of Legio XIIII will be there with a tent, and hopefully at least 5 participants. However one of them might be a dirty Brition!

I was heading up with John Shook as part of a contingent of 6th C. re-enactors. John has had something come up and that pretty much ended the campaign.
Now I am debating whether I should finish my 6th C. impression, or whether I should switch to the 1st. C. impression.
Any other Byzantines going?!
At least the subarmalis I'm making is good for both!!

Travis, are you still in Philly? Do you just need a ride down?

Well a ride would be great, but I can drive.
Really, what I want to know is if I'll be the only 6th C. person there!
Thanks

Travis,
If Greg Fabic is there, and I expect he will be, he does a late Roman impression (4th or 5th Century AD). He, in fact, has gear to reenact more than one period of the Roman Army. We usually do a timeline of the Roman Army from the very early days 'til late Roman, so you would be welcome in the late era gear, I'm sure.

This year, I made sure someone took a photo of the testudo at Roman Days. We had 21 legionaires in the formation, (one Samnite) which was pretty good. Roman Days 2006 testudo
