Painted my Deepeeka brass helmet with red casein. I LIKE this helmet; it fits my head very well.
And new Xiphos:

I have around 300 brass Deepeeka scales; I was going to use them on my twined T&Y armour, but I think I will use them to make a scale gorget to wear with my spolas. I think this was sometimes done, from what I've seen..

What's the weight on that shield? I'm working on one now but it's still 20lbs.

I believe it weighs about 17.5 lbs; that's what it was advertised as, iirc. I am going to have to buy a scale!

I've been good, thanks! I'm slowly putting it together. You can see it at the "other" place.
