Day out 'On the Wall' with mother. - Fabricius Carbo - 06-21-2016
My mother is a big fan of Anthony Riches so I took her out for the day up to Housesteads Fort to see the home of her Tungrians.
She loved it, walking in the Principia Courtyard, visiting the Latrines by the south eastern corner of the fort and strolling between the barrack blocks.
We had lunch in Corbridge and dropped in on the Roman Town, site of the well known Segmentata of course.
A good day was had by all and we are planning a trip to Vindolanda next month to see the Ermine Street Guard doing their stuff.
