Cornicens Unite!! - rusty myers - 01-24-2007

I think we should work up a website for cornicen, tuba re-enactors, looking for informationa nd content others may be willing to share, with proper credits of course, on a Roman Bugler's website. If nothing else, at least a picture of the impression. Sources for correct horns, etc, and our first attempt at some standardized calls will of course be on the site too.

Please email me at justuslonginusNOSPAMaol.com or post responses here.

Also ideas for a name for the site?

This is intended to be info only, no sales stuff or anything. Good spot to share info, and I have space left with the SOTW host that is going to waste!

Well, if that's not blowing your own trumpet I don't know what is! Big Grin

Good idea, Rusty
Count me in.
There is a picture of me as cornicen on our website: www.corbvlo.com > fotogallerij > kleding reconstructies, if you want to see it.
Besides that cornu I also own two tuba for a tubicen representation.
I relish the thought of swapping notes with fellow-aeneatores.
Cheers,
Wim / Cordvs

Yep, I'm in, If you extend the definition to whatever it is that I'm playing, lituus or whatever

Actually, I've picked up a horn that I hope will pass as a tuba, but I'd go with 'aeneator' or 'aeneatores' as a name Big Grin
