Serious, serious envy attack, here! Just beautiful (in that oh-so-martial way)!

Fantastic pictures Katsika! It's interesting that you make a a Thessalian Cavalry impression, as Greek cavalry tends to be underrepresented. Has anyone ever done a Tarentine cavalryman impression before? As I'd be interested to see people's take on warriors from the Greek colonies.

I was going to reply that I much prefer the hoplite to the left, on account of the shield design. But then I saw that the guy on the right had gone to the point of growing (seems unlikely!)/ adding a (fake) beard and that just won it for me. Wow.

Thanks, Richard - I made a couple of these chitoniskos (one white and one grey) with a decidedly Ionian flavor, as I always liked the look. They always draw attention and comments. Some day, I plan to make one with the famous zig-zag hemline like the very common types depicted on all the vases. Confusedmile:

It looks really good!

Great impression dienekes480bc! I love the composite armour with its Gorgon's head straps. Have you injured your arm? it looks as if it's bleeding.
