Plenty of things to ponder ('the "supposed" Herculaneum soldier'?). Did B or C examine that Herculaneum belt? That wrapping of the belt plates around and up/down the scabbard sure explains why it looked so odd. But, stylistically, what is with all the 'whilst' and 'amongst' sss....
