Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - FAVENTIANVS - 04-02-2006 Yeah! And we can make an European tour next summer!! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Pegasus - 04-02-2006 Faventius the front side is Brilliant to , I love the lions , Good Job m8 . Pegasus . Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - FAVENTIANVS - 04-04-2006 Thank you very much Pegasus!!! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Crispvs - 04-04-2006 "Leg XIIII (UK), I think Crispvs is the owner,..." Actually, it belongs to the group rather than me, but I am the one who uses it when we do multi period displays (and it was me who bent one of the plumatae when I threw it in front of an audience last year). The arrangement for holding the plumbatae on the back is similar to Robert's but not quite the same. I have a photo but I will have to find someone with a working scanner before I can post a picture of it (or the rest of my fourth century kit for that matter). Very nice painting by the way Faventianvs! Crispvs Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - FAVENTIANVS - 04-04-2006 Thank you Crispus!!! My Mum did it. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - jvrjenivs - 04-05-2006 Ok, finally I got a nice pic of my full impression. So enjoy it! I only must say the Shoulder traps of the sword I was wearing last weekend aren't ready yet ) Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Robert Vermaat - 04-05-2006 Nice one Jurjen! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - FAVENTIANVS - 04-05-2006 Hey! Cool image! And a very martial expression! 8) Have you made the scutum yourself? Where did you take the pic? Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - jvrjenivs - 04-06-2006 Quote:Hey! Cool image! And a very martial expression! 8) I've made the scutum myself. It was the first roman item I've maked myself, but I hope I'll have time to paint it this year. The picture is taken on my "re-enactment-home" the Biblical Open Air museum in Heilig Landstichting, A little place near Nijmegen, The Netherlands. This is the museum where I do living history activities for 5 years now. There we also have a "Via Orientalis", our Roman Street. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - FAVENTIANVS - 04-06-2006 Have more images of that place? Quote:I've made the scutum myself. It was the first roman item I've maked myself, but I hope I'll have time to paint it this year. You'll see that it will improve incredibly when painted! Post pics please!
