Emmanuel segmentata is very comfortable and quality mastery made ! let's not forget that half of it we had assembly on Natale di Roma 2011 in Rome :grin:

My Segmentata I gave it up for use to our legionary colleague in the event "Meeting of the Emperor Septimius Severus in Augusta Traiana" in Bulgaria.

We begin to assemble our second Corbridge type B. With brass parts made from Emmanuel Van Hoof. We already have a seg. partially assembled by him and we will be guided by it.With this seg. I get in through an exchange of products made by me.
Tie Loops-hooks are very interesting and I have not seen another to produce this type of Tie Loops hooks /Plate with a 'waist' (Coke -bottle shape)/ Described in detail in the book “ Lorica-Segmentata-Volume-II-A-Catalogue-of-Finds” by M.C. Bishop.

Unique are made of Emmanuel Van Hoof (hinged buckle) type Category A / v Fully lobate (five rivets)/.

At least I have not seen such (hinged buckle) until now.

I can see that we have yet another Segmantata where the upper shoulder top plates have been put on the incorrect way, for the pointed small top plate should have its pointed end 180 degrees about and point inwards and not outwards.

I'm sorry I can't put up pictures at this time however Mike Bishop here on RAT was very much involved with the Corbridge hoard, and he indeed assured me that the pointed end of the very top centre plate does point inwards and not outward as so many people are making this same mistake.

Thank you for the clarification! Why then all European masters produced them wrong?
Also, all Indian companies make them “on wrong way”!?
They ( DSC and Deepeeka ) also use advisors and specialists right !?

Yes they do, us, and we're not even as learned as those who aren't the one's involved in the advising. Thus we have all these wrong examples, and if a roman were to see us today HE'D LAUGH!

I think that when it comes to making Lorica Segmentata the book "Excavations At Roman Corbridge". "The Hoard" by L. Allason-Jones and M.C. Bishop is indeed a must have reference.

I have been having a thought about this top shoulder plate on the segmentata, with the point inwards as indeed it is from evidence of the Corbridge hoard.
For with it pointing outwards it may restrict arm movement upwards due to the point of the plate pressing against the upper arm plates.
