My panoply (archaic warlord +-700 BC.) Another (historical correct) helmet is being made as we speak.

Great photos, Giannis! I like especially those archaic cuirasses.

Thanks Virilis!

The cuirasses are both made by Jeffrey Hildebrandt of Royal Oak Armoury. Truly magnificent pieces of armour and a pleasure to wear!

RE: Show here your Greek warrior impression - emilius - 08-21-2016

Hi all,

#1 - My impression of a Cretan Archer from the "Chaironides Stele" (3rd century BC - Volos Museum, Greece) : "kausia" headgear and little round shield (Poseidon "episema").

#2 - My impression of an hellenistic archer (Syracuse - 2nd Punic War) in service of the Roman Republican Army : Boeotian-attic helmet and little round bronze shield (Hiero II of Syracuse "episema").

The pictures (by Francois Gilbert) was taken at the "Journees Gallo-Romaines",  Saint Romain en Gal, France, 2011.

arrivederci,
Emilio
