Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - le Cavalier Invisible - 09-05-2008 Good work Alex! 8) Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - alexlm - 09-05-2008 Thanks guys Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Folkert van Wijk - 09-05-2008 Quote:Alex is too modest to say it, but he did all this in a very short time -- on the order of 6 months or so. The longest piece was the scutum -- which was beyond his control. Yes thats realy impressif! Congratulations Alex! Looks good! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Virilis - 09-10-2008 Quote:This Helmet is a Weisenau... Here are the prices of the helmets: The price of roman helmets is P0014=285 EUR, P0015=267 EUR, P0016=279 EUR. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - jkaler48 - 09-10-2008 Grandkids and some friends a few weeks ago; Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Peroni - 09-16-2008 A couple of photos of myself and Marcus Germanicus Ferox in second century kit taken at the Hadrian Exhibition at the British Museum at the weekend... More will no doubt follow.. Hadrianic Beards all round! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 09-16-2008 Like the new version of the Theilenhoffen. Certainly looks better than the first. You guys look pretty impressive there! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Virilis - 09-16-2008 Wow, looks gorgeous! Adrian, is your helmet the "improved" version of the Theilenhofen one? Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Peroni - 09-16-2008 Thanks guys! Yes Jyrki it is. It was sent over just days before the event! Quote:Wow, looks gorgeous! Adrian The kit or the beard??! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Virilis - 09-16-2008 The beard, of course  ! Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Doc - 09-16-2008 Adrian, Nice Kit. I like your squamata. The manica is also very nice. However, I would think that a brass manica would stand out more based on the colors you are using for your tunic. Just my opinion not a crtisizm. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - John M McDermott - 09-16-2008 I hope mine looks that good. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Gaius Julius Caesar - 09-16-2008 Myself at Lunt, after the rain stopped. Sloppy kit, so my apologies! (Thanks Savrus)  Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - MARCVS PETRONIVS MAIVS - 09-16-2008 Quote:Adrian, I actually quite like how the color matches with the right (his left) sleeve of his undertunic, not sure if he did that intentionally. There is a nice mix of 'silver' and 'gold' in his kit, including the helmet. Expertly done I think. Re: Show here your roman soldier impression - Peroni - 09-16-2008 I have more than one colour of undertunic  I just prefer a steel manica. Otherwise it would be just too much brass! |
