Since the old quiz appears to have come to a dead end, here's a new quiz: museum objects. Here's the first photo: which famous work of art is this and in what museum can you see it?

Not sure how this game is played, however: Laocoon, possibly by Polydoros, Agesandros, Athenodoros. Its in the Musei Vaticani (Cortile delle Statue) in Rome/Vatican City.
Virgil Aeneis II.199-249 is still so much better though.
The image link was a bit of a giveaway for anyone who doesn't recognize the sculpture! But I am grateful for the splendid link to the Vatican online collections.
Perhaps unnecessary, but it's now your privilige to say - if you think that Christian is right - that it's now his turn. Knowing our Augsburgian friend, he will love to put online something terribly difficult from an obscure museum in the Allgäu.

Ha well something else Vatican somehow seemed appropriate, unfortunately when I was there I couldn't see that statue for...well anyone who has been knows exactly how...ahem..."well" the musei are ran...
But of course, said poster is correct. I did admittedly have a funnier one but I didn't recall where it is. Ah well.
