So a while ago I found these two videos by a channel called "THE FACILITY", wherein he recreates an actual find with the most recent information on it. Basically the actual original blade was likely a rush job which made the final blade be poor in quality and so he recreates how a sword and scabbard of such make would be made, albeit with several modern tools. The videos are pretty interesting as he explains how he made the sword and scabbard as well his commentary on how and what the romans used to make their equipment vs what we're capable of today.
